In practice since 2003, Nathan “Nate” Peplinski has practiced at nearly every level of the American court system form local district courts to several arguments before the Michigan Supreme Court, to briefing to the United States Supreme Court. Nate has a focus on appellate law, having started his career in the Court of Appeals Prehearing Division and having served several terms as the Senior Clerk to Justice Marilyn Kelly of the Michigan Supreme Court. But Nate has had considerable experience litigating insurance coverage and handling defense litigation at his previous position at a large Michigan firm, where he started as an associate and became a partner/shareholder for nine years. Nate has also handled insurance coverage review for a number of large insurance companies, covering a variety of insurance coverage issues, and has defended high exposure construction accident cases involving the common work area doctrine defense.


With a background in both litigation and appellate work, Nate brings a well-rounded skill set that will serve to enhance Jacobs and Diemer’s ability to advocate and advise its clients in all phases of their litigation needs.  Nate will further help Jacob and Diemer’s fast-growing practice area of insurance coverage analysis and declaratory judgment actions. He also will use his years of experience to aid Jacobs and Diemer’s clients in their post-judgment and appellate proceedings. 


Nate has been recognized with various awards and honors, including being recognized as a Michigan State Bar Foundation Fellow and as a Super Lawyer. 


Nate is an avid music lover and enjoys attending numerous concerts each year. Nate also enjoys world travel and fine dining experiences around the world. Nate was raised in North Branch, Michigan and currently lives in Clawson, Michigan.
